Dr Cherkashin is an internationally recognised leader in limb lengthening, deformity correction, bone transport, and complex reconstruction. With training that spans Russia and the United States, he has more than 40 years of experience working alongside pioneers in the field—including extensive collaboration with Dr Dror Paley and the legacy of Professor Ilizarov.
His expertise includes:
• Bone transport and segmental reconstruction
• Limb lengthening and deformity correction
• Management of post-traumatic and post-tumour defects
• Treatment of paediatric and adult limb disorders
• Circular external fixation and advanced reconstruction technologies
He is widely published, actively involved in clinical innovation, and is known for his clear, practical, highly educational teaching style. We are honoured to have him join us for the 2026 program.
ANZLRS is taking place in Brisbane on 28 March 2026. As a component of this meeting, we are inviting submissions for original research, across the wide spectrum of Limb Reconstruction Practice.
We welcome submissions across:
Paediatrics, Adults , Trauma, Non Unions, Osteomyelitis , Deformity, Congenital Conditions, Tumour Reconstruction, Limb Lengthening, Amputation, and more!
All types of research will be considered – original research, case series, systematic and narrative reviews, and (if brilliant) case reports! We also welcome submissions from allied health and the wider limb reconstruction multidisciplinary teams.
If successful, conference registration and in-person presentation is expected of the presenting author. Podium presentations must include a declaration of any potential conflicts of interest, as well as address relevant ethics approval considerations. At least one author should be an ANZLRS member.
